Guimar Urbina Interiors is pleased to present one of our most recently completed projects, Echo at Aventura. This project is very meaningful, as it is the second home we design for our dear clients from Mexico. Their first condo in Aventura was completed back in 2011. We began working on this new project in the Echo last year, right before the pandemic hit, forcing us to stop all production for several months. With great joy, we were able to resume construction but came across many restrictions and delays.
The style of this apartment is an evolution from what we created back in 2011. The entrance makes a statement with a warm, wood panel wall and custom-built floating console. Right across, we covered the exit door with a neutral, yet beautiful, custom wall treatment with fabric by The Wallpaper Company. The lighter tones of the entry are contrasted with darker colors throughout the rest of the apartment, including the living, dining, and kitchen areas. We balanced the white marble floors with a bright dining tabletop, upholstered chairs, sofa, and other decorative elements. Light fixtures make a big statement in this main area, including the dining pendant by LucePlan. Our clients have a beautiful white piano which we placed in the living room corner, overlooking the unobstructed water view.
The powder room was designed to be fun yet glamorous. Red cork and gold foil wallcovering was paired with a contemporary asymmetrical mirror and two glass pendants by Bocci.
No detail goes unnoticed in our projects. Instead of leaving the corridor plain, we custom designed wall mirrors to amplify the space and reflect light in a modern way.
The master bedroom continues with the unobstructed water views that we accentuated with custom window treatments from the Guimar Urbina Vol. 2 collection at The Wallpaper Company. This patterned sheer fabric compliments the taupe wallcovering, bronze Vertigo pendant light, and two-toned lounge chairs in front of the king bed. These details create a peaceful yet unique space.
Overall, the Echo at Aventura project was focused on combining neutral tones, rich textures, statement light fixtures, with high-end furniture that brought luxury to the client's everyday lifestyle.
